Swallowing/Dysphagia Treatment
Our clinic offers swallowing/dysphagia and oral motor evaluation and treatment for all ages, from infants to adults.
All of our clinicians are CPR, First Aid, and AED certified through the American Heart Association.
Common symptoms of swallowing and oral-sensory motor difficulty at any age:
Coughing, choking, or gagging when eating or drinking
Difficulty chewing food
Difficulty chewing/swallowing certain textures
Difficulty with breastfeeding or bottle-feeding
Difficulty swallowing pills
Pain while swallowing
Drooling
Inability to swallow
A sensation of food getting stuck in the throat or chest or behind the breastbone (sternum)
Hoarseness
Food coming back up (regurgitation)
Frequent heartburn
Food or stomach acid backing up into the throat
